History

Kunkel & Associates is a regional insurance brokerage and consulting firm that was founded in July of 2003 in Mineral Point, WI. The President and CEO, Tim Kunkel, has taken the company from its infancy into profitability within the first 12 months of incorporation. In 2007, Kunkel & Associates expanded their operations and built a state of the art facility in Dubuque, IA, which is currently their corporate headquarters. Their operation has seen significant growth year after year and currently consists of 33 employees.

We pride ourselves in working hard, setting and achieving goals and building a culture of honesty and respect. At Kunkel & Associates, we work hard to develop relationships with both our clients and insurance companies. Solid insurance company relationships help us in negotiating the best results for our clients. We have exclusive programs with national insurance companies and have been identified by numerous companies as their preferred organization based on our vast experience, expertise and communication skills.

Kunkel & Associates is also provides brokerage services to both Health Benefit and Property & Casualty operations. Our Midwest presence is strengthened with offices in Dubuque, IA, Richmond, IN and Madison, WI. We currently have clients in over 40 states.
